Cynthia was professionally trained in Singapore with local prestige Dance School such as Nanyang Academic of Fine Arts and Lasalle SIA College of Arts for several years. Since graduated in 2004, she has been actively involved in full time dance lecturing and training in various schools in Singapore. She has won awards for competitions such as Singapore Youth Festival (SYF). She has been teaching students’ age range from 5yrs to 20yrs. In charge of leading these group of students in the Core Curriculum Activity as Dance Club or Dance CCA instructors. Well verse in preparing performances and choreography for schools and public events for various type of dance example, Modern Contemporary, Chinese Classical, Folk Dance, Ethnic Fusion and Ballet. Cynthia is a very passionate, patient in teaching and imparting her dance knowledge for the next generation of students. Always willing to keep an open minded and innovating idea for her classes. 

 

She founded The DanceCyn Company in providing various Aesthetic Dance Services to many schools since 2004 as her passion is in teaching. The company provide services such as the dance curriculum, dance enrichment, mass dance, dance workshops, Trim and Fit programme, dance performance, ACES Day workout etc. Cynthia has been leading a group of instructors in the path of her teaching career in schools since then.

 

Besides teaching Dance, she is also has other valuable experience in dance related industries as she is involved in major productions such as the Romeo and Julia by the Singapore Dance Theatre, Lasalle SIA dance graduation shows and other public dance productions, as the position of Stage Manager and Production Manager. This includes coordinating, choreographing and managing in schools Concerts in Theatre and public performance. 

 

Cynthia always believe in building up rapport with students and gaining the trust and confidence from the students, thus aiding in the learning for the them and doing more than just teaching. She also believes that students who choose this pathway of journey will benefit their embodiment and thus create a creative arts approach in life.
